ANNEX 2 - Conditions Imposed in Accordance with the Operating Schedule & Under Paragraph 18(4) & 18(5) Schedule 8 Licensing Act 2003
Any fire/burglar alarm installations shall be maintained working at all times
All fire exits are highlighted throughout the building, emergency lighting is also installed and is tested at frequent intervals. Staff are made aware of fire drills and fire exits are to be inspected at regular intervals.
Notices are displayed in the premises requesting members and guests to leave the premises in an orderly manner.
All music shall be played at an acceptable level.
The premises shall display notices to prevent the misuse of gaming machines, and cigarette machines by under age patrons.
All exit doors shall be easily operable without the use of a key, card, code or similar means.
Exit doors shall be regularly checked to ensure they function satisfactorily.
All removable security fastenings shall be removed whenever the premises are open to the public or staff.
All fire doors shall be maintained effectively self closing and shall not be held open other than by approved devices.
Fire resisting doors to service shafts shall be kept locked shut.
Hangings, curtains and temporary decorations shall be maintained in a flame retardant condition.
Hangings, curtains and temporary decorations shall be located so as not to obstruct exits, fire safety signs or fire fighting equipment.
Notices detailing the actions to be taken in the event of a fire or other emergency shall be prominently displayed and maintained in good condition.
Access shall be provided for emergency vehicles and kept clear and free from obstruction.
Fire drill and emergency lighting tests shall be conducted monthly. A record of these tests shall be available on request.
All fire exits and means of escape shall be signed in accordance with BS5499.
An evacuation policy shall be in place that is to the satisfaction of the fire authority. All staff members shall be trained in the evacuation policy.
Walls and ceilings finishes shall be fire resistant to the appropriate standard.
Exit doors shall open outwards or secured in the open position if this is not the case
The premises shall have a CORGI certificate of inspection for any gas boiler, calorifier or appliance.
The maximum number of persons permitted on the premises shall be;
