ANNEX 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
The premises shall have a CORGI certificate of inspection in respect of any gas boiler, calorifier or appliance renewed 3 monthly.
Emergency lighting shall be installed, maintained, subject to monthly checks and records kept. Emergency lighting batteries shall be fully charged before admission by the public and have a capacity of 180 minutes to permit evacuation of the premises.
Adequate and appropriate first aid materials shall be available at the premises.
At least one suitably trained first-aider shall be on duty at all times the public are on the premises.
Fire safety signs shall be adequately illuminated at all times.
The premises shall have a current inspection certificate for the fire alarm system renewed 3 monthly.
The occupancy of the premises shall not exceed 1003 plus staff.
An annual inspection of fire-fighting equipment shall be maintained, and a certificate kept for inspection.
An evacuation policy, catering for disabled persons, which satisfies the fire authority, shall be in place, and all staff trained in the execution of the policy.
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours are as stated in Part A and include;
On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
Persons under 18 shall not be permitted on the premises.
Step and stair edges shall be appropriately highlighted so as to be conspicuous.
The premises shall have a current NICEIC or ECA emergency lighting report renewed every six months.
All exit doors shall open outwards and be openable without the use of a key, card, code or similar means.
All exit doors must be regularly checked to ensure they function satisfactorily, records of these checks are maintained.
All fire doors shall be maintained effectively self-closing and shall not be held open other than by approved devices.
Fire drill and emergency lighting checks shall be undertaken monthly, and records of such checks kept.
Access shall be maintained for emergency vehicles.
Notices detailing the action to be taken in the event of fire or other emergency shall be prominently displayed and maintained in good condition.
Hangings, curtains and temporary decorations shall be maintained in a flame retardant condition and hung so as not to interfere with exits, fire-safety signs or fire-fighting equipment. Upholstered seating shall comply with current safety regulations.
The premises shall have a satisfactory NICEIC or ECA electrical installation report renewed annually.
Fire resisting doors to service shafts, ducts and cupboards must be kept locked shut.
