ANNEX 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
The premises licence holder and/or the designated premises supervisor or a person nominated by them shall be a member of and regularly attend any meetings of any pub watch scheme for the area where the premises are located.
The volume of all amplified sound used in connection with all entertainment provided shall at all times be under the control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism so installed shall be maintained and operated from a part of the premises inaccessible to the public.
The secondary glazing to the windows of the first floor function rooms on the facade of the building overlooking the canal shall not be removed without the permission of Burnley Borough Council
Under 18s will be prohibited from playing AWPs.
In case of doubt over the age of a customer proof of age will be demanded.
The conditions attached to your Public Entertainment Licence will still apply to your premises with the exception of conditions 17 (paragraph 2) and 26 (A).
A copy of the PEL conditions is included as part of your licence.
The maximum number of persons permitted on the premises shall be;
Ground Floor 110
First Floor 200
The Premises will operate to the BBPA code on drinks promotions.
The Portman group code of practice on the promotion of responsible drinking will be used
Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 21 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following forms are the only forms of ID that are acceptable:
UK photo driving licence, Passport, PASS card.
Any person unable to prove their age as above will be refused service of alcoholic drinks without exception.
Proof of age checks shall take place inside the premises by staff whenever they have doubt about a person’s age
An appropriate method of communication, as determined by the Police, will be used at the premises. (This method of communication may change in the future as technology advances). This at present refers to registration of the community/network radio scheme.
The equipment must be kept in working order at all times. When the premises are open to the public the radio/equipment must be switched on and monitored at all times by the DPS or a responsible member of staff. All instances of crime and disorder must be reported via the radio, and Police instructions must be complied with.
Where commonly available, only glasses that are made of toughened/safety glass shall be used whether alcohol is being consumed on the premises or in any area outside the premises that trades as part of the premises.
Sporting Fixtures and Local Festivals
As and when the Police deem it necessary the following conditions relating to certain sporting fixtures will apply:
All drinks will be served in plastic glasses without exception.
All glasses or heavy-duty ashtrays will be removed and replaced with lightweight plastic.
All other weapons that may potentially be used as weapons e.g. pool cues and pool balls will be removed or secured.
Arrangements will be made for the rubbish skip/bin, containing empty bottles, stored outside the building, to be emptied prior to a designated football match. If this cannot be arranged the licensee should ensure that the container is secured and cannot be accessed by members of the public.
When door supervisors are used on a regular basis at the premises, door supervisors will be on duty before the start and after the match.
The DPS will adhere to closing/opening times on the day a specified sporting fixture is taking place, as decided by the police.
The doors to the premises will be closed at the end of a match as and when requested by the Police.
The beer garden (if applicable) will be closed for the duration of the match as and when requested by the Police.
The DPS, or nominated deputy, will be on the premises at all times when the sporting fixture/local event is taking place.
